Clinique Moisture Surge tinted moisturizer SPF 15

Hello lovlies! This product is being advertised everywhere and it has had so much hype. I’m using shade 2 and the coverage is beatuiful. I use a light coverage in the day, and double coverage for a night out.

The review…  this product is amazing. 100% Reem.

Smooth on an instant moisture boost with SPF protection and a hint of skin-perfecting colour. Refreshingly lightweight formula provides a no-makeup look and feel, yet covers imperfections with a natural, hydrating touch. Oil-free.

Find me on twitter.

Goodbye for now!

Hello, my lovely followers. I have got bad news and good news.  Bad news= I am coming off blogger.com for the moment.

Good news= I got an amazing promotion! As you may already know, I work for the number 1 skincare company. I believe now my career is a lot more serious, I don't think I'm being true to myself or the company that I adore, when reviewing other companies products.

Please don't un-follow me as I plan to post more, just not at the moment. Anyone know what I can blog about? I will still read all you blogs every morning, and every evening on the train. I always try to comment but stupid connection is uber rubbish when travelling on the choo choo.

Anyway, please be happy for me! I am! I don't start till the first week of Febraury. Anyone want to email me (misshannahgriffiths@gmail.com) or comment please do. I would love to hear from you all.

Keep blogging, do it because you love it, that's what I did. :)

My quest to look like Joan Collins. ♥

Hello lovelies! I am indeed still under the weather, alas I'm getting better though. Reading everyones blogs always cheer me up though. :) Days when I am ill or down I look for inspiration to pull me out of an ugly state...

When I grow up.. I want to be Joan Collins darlings! Reasons for this:

  • She is 77 years old and beautiful.
  • Sophisticated.
  • Femme fatale and sexy.
  • A diva.
  • How a Hollywood star should be.
  • I am a huge fan of the glossy pin-up red lipstick!

Joan Collins has an OBE to her name, and was born ages ago in 1933. She is a famous English actress and has been present in the media since 1955. The photos in the 1950's were black and white, any photograph taken after the 1970’s I can not tell how old she is, as she appears to have never aged.

Now... how does she do it? She claims this is down too:
  • Making an effort. She came from a family of women who always made an effort with their appearance, and believes modern women don't as much. I tend to agree.
  • Red wine, hehe!
  • A good man, hehe!
  • Lots of water.
  • Moisturise, moisturise and moisturise!
I am 22 years old, and I know I sometimes look much younger, but that is just by luck. I'm scared one day I'll go from looking quite young, to quite old! But keeping young is about feeling young and I think that is Joan's ethos.

I don't make an effort everyday with my makeup because I am lazy. Simples! However I always take my skincare seriously. I use Cliniques 3 step routine. My day moisturiser is Supedefense SPF 25 and for night Super Rescue, both by Clinique. My day cream keeps my skin moisturised, protects again any enviromental aggressers,  the sun, and overall skin damage. My night cream keeps my skin moisturised, then repairs any damage that has been caused in the day.

Wine & a good man... I have them both! Water... now I do drink 2 small bottles a day at work. However I should drink more, It's so good for you! Clients who drink it productively, you can see it in their skin!  I shouldn't drink it when I am dying of thirst, I should drink it to keep my body & skin hydrated.

So who do you thinks an attractive older lady? What keeps you young? Have you found the fountain of youth? Can I have the address?

Classic Glamour

The party season is amongst us and glamour make up is a must. Some times I want to look like fashionista with the latest makeup trend, but sometimes I just want to look pretty. And there is nothing wrong with that.   Today I am doing classic glamour.  I am using moderate colours all over, of different textures, to make a dramatic yet warming appearance.

Here are some stars of classic glamour.

Now this is me, not on the red carpet, but in my bedroom, in my pj's. :)

The stars of the shoot are... my two eyeshadows from the Plum Seduction palette by Clinique. I used Black Diamond cream shaper from C on my bottom lashes. I used elyure Naturalites fake lashes. Then on my lips Raspberry Rush buttershine lippy! By the big C!

Sadly I have no A-list party to go to, but I do have a coesy sofa and big bar of chocolate! So...who is your  favourite Hollywood Starlit?

Simply Feare, Fearne Cotton's new makeup range. ♥

Hello ladies, the gorgeous TV presenter and professional rock chick Fearne Cotton has taken her first step into the world of beauty, launching a new make-up range, called simply 'Fearne', for Boots.

Some may think “yeah, yeah”, another celebrity endorsement. But I have to say it’s really decent. I saw an interview about her new adventure and she claimed she always does her own makeup, as she just loves the stuff, but people always assume she has a makeup artist. She studied art and design so it was a great oppourtunity to bring her passion into her work. She has been working on it for years! The range was a natural step as she is a make-up junkie and even though it's a collaboration, she was given free reign over the design.
I went in to Boots to find her and had a bit of a makeup fiddle and have to say I am really impressed by it, and I now want it!

My favourites are “Made you look made you stare” eyeshadow palette... the colours are funky monkey and the pigmentation is great. My second is her “Shimmer dusk dust” perfect for a night of cocktails with the ladies, adds extra glam to the face.

Why I like her range:
  • It’s handbag friendly.
  • It has fabulous colours.
  • The package design is chic also.

I don’t care what Keith Lemon says, Fearne Cotton is gorgeous, haha! Now... don’t be a DINGBAT and buy this box ASAP, it’s a Christmas set for £19.00, but Friday it will go back to being £40.00! Or grab your boyfriend, point to the screen and say slowly Christmas Present!  If you can’t get to town, order it online.
I have written about Nicola Roberts makeup range http://madeupbyhannah.blogspot.com/2010/10/pretty-in-pale.html but I am not aware of any other celebrity makeup ranges. I know Girls Aloud have their fabulous eyelashes though. Anyone tried Fearne's range yet? Are you a fan of her makeup style anyway?

Before I go
Have you got an Iphone? There is a free BARRY M  Iphone application and it's lush. It has uber lots of videos to get different makeup looks. It's a super App!

I am going to be a Victoria Secret Model! ♥

Well...actually..probably not. I am gonna try though! :)

I had a lush lie in this morning and I put off washing my hair until tonight. I was going out though, so I sprayed my “Fish” dry shampoo into my uber greasy hair, and I then got distracted by looking at some lovely blogs.

I came across Margie's blog on the Victoria Secret Models. I just adore the way the models aren’t pornographic, but are a sexy, erotic, and a beautiful fantasy. I super admire the dramatic makeup, because its stunning dramatic, not slutty dramatic.

I took inspiration from this photograph.

I am deffo no Victoria Secret model as I am 3 stone over weight, thanks stupid scale lol, but I am going to give the makeup a good try. So what the hell, this is my sexy Victoria Secret look!

Things that made me sexy:

  • Choco-latte palette from Clinique

  • Black Kohl Pencil from Clinique

  • Rock Violet Lipstick from Clinique

  • Right... a little mention.  Something really, really, made my day today, Chloe wrote a post about me saying she really appreciates my comments and enjoys my blog. And guess what I cried. I am very emotional and I am on period. Maybe that explains my over reaction? Anyway...what a lovely person Chloe is to go out of her way to notice me. Everyone visit her she is fab and has such passion in her posts.

    My bootiful boots haul. ♥

I love boots. It's got Chanel and Barry M. Rimmel and Clarins. They have got the rich with the poor.  If your having a shit day, you can go to boots in your lunch hour and buy 3 decent products with out making the scary boyfriend angry. Then buy doing this purchasing act, you then look forward to going home and trying these products. Once wearing your fabulous new products your boyfriend will give you lots of kisses.

3 for 2 at Boots at the moment, so get in there quick!

    Barry M Silver eyeliner

Love it! A waterproof, long wear formulation in a retractable pack for easy use. This photograph is not of me, it's from bubblegarm.blogspot.com as my camera photo's were rubbish! I own the pink, and once I saw her post, I felt the silver was a festive season must.

Barry M Fine Glitter Dust Denim

It's loose pearl colour that have been cleverly blended with ultra fine, diamond like glitter flecks to dazzle.  I chose the dark denim and it's really the colour in the photo, it's uber pigmentated. I previously bought the yellow gold version and I adored it. I decided to try over 20 colours in boots and got into a right mess! Ideal to experiment with for the wilder, more adventurous make-up fans.Try on the cheeks, lips and body to create a stunning glitzy look!!!

    Eylure Naturalites Eyelashes

As you can probably  tell I have bought a dramatic eye look. Through experience with clients and myself, I know the difference between drag makeup and fabulous makeup. When doing an amazing dramatic eye style, don't always think over the top quirky  lashes will always work, you may end up looking like a drag artist. So today I went for a natural set to add volume and fullness, but still allows my eyes to be sophisticated and sexy.

I commute by train to work everyday and last night I read an article that inspired me in a makeup dabble. I am always craving a fresh faced look that concludes in my features being defined and not so bare, therefore doesn’t make me look like a child. These celebrities get it just right.

The article was in the evening standard and these were the tips for a "fresh faced" appearance.

    • A face treat, to refresh your skin.
    • Don’t think cover, think define.
    • Do your makeup properly or learn how.
    • A new modern hair style, colour or cut.
    • Get the perfect eyebrows
    • And the perfect teeth.
    Voila un makeover!

I took their advice and this is what I did.

I used Turrnaround Skin Renewer, Even better foundation Clinique, Sunlit palm cream eyeshadow clinique, Airkiss lipgloss Clinique, Lash Power mascara Clinique, Soft brown eyebrow pencil Clinique, and Poesy blush.

    Love your hannah x
    • I used Clinique Turnaround Skin Renewer, which made my skin beautifully soft.
    • I am wearing minimal makeup products.
    • I got up 10 mins early to spend more time on my makeup, therefore more care, and better done.
    • I have gone with the Cheryl Cole side plat.
    • I perfectly filled in any missing hairs on my threaded eyebrows.
    • The perfect teeth...well...I cleaned them.

    Subtle beauty ♥

Hello lovelies, some of you may of read "My Day Off" where I blogged about my uber minimal makeup look. Today’s blog is on my subtle make up look. The subtle look is based on a good coverage and defining my facial features more, with a slight hint of colour.

    Products I have used:

Clinique 3 step, Superdefense SPF 25 Clinique, Clinique airbrush concelor, Redness Solutions Calming Neutral foundation, Invisible matt powder Clinique, Ruby & Millie blush from palette, Colour surge eye shadow Buff Clinique, Ruby & Millie brown from palette eye shadow. Creamy nude lipstick Clinique, Soft brown eyebrow pencil Clinique, High Impact Mascara Clinique, Quick liner Smokey brown Clinique.

    My tips are:
    • Apply thin layers of everything, its easy to build up, harder to take off.
    • Blend, blend, blend and blend.

A basic simple look requires 8 steps.

    1. Good skin care- your makeup is only going to look as good as the skin beneath.
    2. Concelor- use it on the areas that need it. I use it to cover my chin scars and under & in the corner of my eyes, for a wide eye look.
    3. Foundation- apply with a foundation brush following your hair line to create a flatter yet glowing look, and you use less product!
    4. Powder- I use an invisible powder to reduce any shine and to keep my makeup put.
    5. Blush- to bring life to canvassed cheeks.
    6. Lipstick- to create impact on my lips.
    7. Eyebrows- Brush and pencil in, any missing hairs. Your eyebrows define you face.
    8. Eye shadow & liner & mascara- to add femininity flutters.
I hope you like my post!
    love your hannah x

Purple Churple & Plum Seduction CLINIQUE ♥

Reading this months COMPANY I came across the article on Purple Reign. Love it! Purple is the most super popular colour when my clients have makeovers. Whether it’s a subtle hint or a chumba wumba dramatic eye.

Here are some smashing purple churple eyes!

Today I am reviewing my new eye shadow palette Plum seduction from Clinique. I adore it. Its has four stunning coordinating shades of velvety, shimmery colour to create the looks you want, from natural to dramatic. Creamy, intense shadows build quickly, blend easily for lasting colour. Wear them alone, as duos and trios, or layered together.

I find Clinique eyeshadows pigmented, blendable, and long-lasting. Color Surge is the overarching name of the Clinique powder eye shadows, and they come in a range of formulas (Matte, Soft Shimmer, and Super Shimmer). The shadows are soft and lovely, and while most are them are more natural, every day colours, there are some non-earth tone colours in the line. The quad I chose is one of these, as you can probably assume from the name!
